Talent acquisition and retention are two of the significant issues among employers in the Bay Area.  Employees are often sought out by recruiters and need to understand the criteria to consider when looking at potential companies.  Whether big name companies or smaller startups, the stakes are high.  Each has a process which is important to understand.

This meeting will feature a panel discussion with multiple parts of the industry represented.

Zachary Dupra is the head of talent with TaskRabbit.  The company is an American online and mobile marketplace that matches freelance labor with local demand, allowing consumers to find immediate help with everyday tasks, including cleaning, moving, delivery and handyman work. TaskRabbit combines the entrepreneurial growth of a start-up and a large and established international company-IKEA.

Trent Krupp is the vice president of operations for Triplebyte, a new and emerging recruiting company for engineers. He is a veteran of the recruiting industry, with senior leadership roles at Hired.com, Atomic and Beacon Talent.  He has been very involved in some of the emerging recruiting platforms at Vocate and Shift and can share perspective of how software is being used to automate the hiring of employees.

Sam Rhyan is an HR Business Partner supporting Segment's Engineering, Product and Design divisions through organizational development, talent management, operations, and culture.  Prior to his current role, Sam spent nearly four years in recruiting and student development programs at Google.

Jonathan Mumm is a serial entrepreneur who keeps under the radar but has done some really amazing things. He placed in the top 3 in the Burrill Business Plan Competition back in the day for ProPOV, and has now been the head of engineering at a number of companies in the Bay Area.  He's currently the Director of Engineering at Hims & Hers, which you've probably seen ads for around town.
